The 7 Best-Selling Piercing Jewelry Types Retailers Should Stock

Assortment planning is easier when you know where the volume actually is. Based on what wholesale partners reorder – and what piercing studios report as their fastest movers – these seven categories earn the wall space in 2026.

1. Ear stack pieces: flat-back labrets

The “curated ear” trend matured into a permanent retail category. Customers buy 3-6 pieces at once to build stacks, which makes flat-back labrets with interchangeable tops the single highest-frequency SKU family. Stock internal-thread and threadless bases in 16G with 6-8mm posts, plus a deep wall of tops (CZ, opal, bezel, ball). This is where our 10-piece MOQ works hardest for you.

2. Hoops and hinged segments

Seamless rings, hinged segment rings and clickers in 16G/14G, 6-10mm diameters. Low unit cost, gift-friendly, and the easiest first purchase for a new customer. Keep steel-colored, gold-anodized and black finishes in equal depth.

3. Septum clickers

Septum piercing remains the most visible facial piercing, and clickers dominate over capture rings because they open with one hand. Ornate and “brow-band” styles trend hard; stock simple hinged clickers as the base and statement pieces as the upsell.

4. Navel rings with dangle and CZ

Navels came back with mid-rise fashion. 14G curved bars 10-12mm with CZ prong or dangle designs are the volume; opal and gold-tone anodizing are the margin. Summer sells 3x winter volumes – time your order.

5. Nose studs and L-screws

20G/18G nose studs with 2-2.5mm gems are the highest units-per-customer category in general-accessory shops (not just piercing studios). Perfect impulse-buy territory near the register.

6. Dermal tops and anchors

Microdermal jewelry is studio-only volume but almost no competition on design. Threaded 14G tops in 3-5mm sizes sell steadily year-round.

7. Replacement parts and tops

The quiet profit engine: spare balls, discs, CZ tops and threaded ends. They cost little, ship light, and every buyer of a base becomes a repeat top-buyer. Never let this section run dry.

Two stocking principles

Depth beats width at the start. Twenty styles you restock monthly beat eighty styles that gather dust – with a 10-pc/style MOQ you can test width cheaply, then go deep on winners. Finish mix mirrors your customer. Silver-tone sells everywhere; gold-tone overperforms in fashion retail; black overperforms in men’s and streetwear-adjacent shops.

Build the order from our labret studs, septum clickers and navel rings categories, or start with the wholesale buying guide.
